Jim is spotlighted in a variety of venues, ranging from an intimate hotel bar to a concert with a symphony under the stars, a show on a mountainside in the rain (with different material than the RCA release), to a noisy nightclub, a show in Sweden, and one from the Pacific Northwest! An added bonus is — for the first time — a comedy sketch and two songs, featuring “The Lump Lump Boys,” whereby the Blue Boys dressed up as hillbillies and traded jokes with Jim and also sang humorous songs. This alone is a priceless insight into how much fun audiences had at Jim Reeves concerts. The CD closes with another interview with Mr. Reeves that has never been released.

Naturally, the sound quality is superior and you hear Jim’s rich, velvet voice, spontaneous dialog and interaction with the crowd and his musicians. It has a real “you are there feel.”

This would make a great CD to give a friend or loved one to introduce them to how fabulous Jim Reeves was on stage! (He didn’t need AutoTune like singers nowadays do, to enable him to sing on pitch!)
